A new video initiative is bringing Peterson product knowledge, practical tips and technical expertise directly to the people who use and sell our products every day.
Sometimes the best way to understand a product isn’t to read about it. It’s to see it.
That’s the idea behind a new video initiative now underway at Peterson Manufacturing. This month, we stepped in front of the camera for our first round of filming, kicking off what will become a growing library of short, practical videos designed to make product education easier to access, understand and share.
Product Knowledge When You Need It
Whether you’re behind a parts counter, working in a shop, managing a fleet or simply trying to find the right solution for an application, questions come up.
What’s the difference between these connector styles? What’s the best way to replace or upgrade a trailer light? Which cleaning products are safe to use? What features actually make a difference in the life and performance of a lighting system?
Our goal is to answer questions like these in a format that’s quick, useful and easy to understand.
The videos aren’t intended to replace Peterson’s existing technical resources. Instead, they’ll add another way for customers, distributors and industry professionals to get the information they need — by seeing products, technologies and best practices demonstrated firsthand.
Starting with the Basics
Our first video shoot focused on several topics that come up regularly in the field, including:

Each video is being designed to get to the point quickly, with practical information viewers can put to use.
More Than Just A Few Videos
While we’re starting with some of the fundamentals, this isn’t a one-and-done project.
The long-term goal is to continue building a useful video resource covering Peterson products, technologies, installation tips, maintenance, troubleshooting and other topics that help our customers and partners do their jobs more effectively.
That may mean taking a closer look at a particular product. It might mean answering a frequently asked question, demonstrating an installation or explaining the engineering behind a feature that isn’t immediately visible from the outside.
And as the library grows, we’ll continue looking for opportunities to turn the questions we hear from customers and the field into future video topics.
Bringing Peterson Expertise to the Screen
For more than 80 years, Peterson has built its reputation on providing reliable vehicle lighting and harness solutions backed by engineering, manufacturing and industry expertise.
This new initiative gives us another way to share that knowledge.
